March 8 is International Women’s Day. People throughout the world mark this day with national and local celebrations to honor women for their achievements recognize their accomplishments, and to empower them, as we work to promote global gender equality. The Schaaf Floral team joins this national observance. In doing so, we hope that all of our customers seize this opportunity to recognize women in their lives and show their appreciation by giving the gift of flowers.

Minneapolis winters linger endlessly. Surprise late winter snowstorms are the norm around here, and regrettably, we have to wait until who knows when to see evidence of spring through blooming flowers – especially those colorful bulbs we plant in fall. Our Spring Mixed Tulip Arrangement turns up the heat with red tulips, red carnations, and red Alstroemeria with touches of yellow. We add yellow solidago as an accent, giving this arrangement a warm feeling through the use of fiery color.

We typically think of flowers on occasions like holidays and birthdays, and of course for Valentine’s Day.
